Privacy Policy

MakeSignature.app (the “Website”) and Signature Generator: Esign (the “App”) are developed and maintained by Alessandro Pace (“I”, “me”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how the Website and App (together, the “Services”) handle your information.

The Services are designed with privacy in mind. Signatures, drawings, names, and images are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

1. About the Services

The Website lets you generate signature images from a typed name or draw a signature in your browser and download it as a transparent PNG. The App lets you draw, generate, scan, edit, organize, and export signatures. Neither service requires you to create an account or sign in.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not ask you to create an account and do not collect your name, email address, phone number, signature content, or other contact details through the Services. The Website and App contain no advertising SDK and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The App does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

3. How Signature Data Is Processed and Stored

On the Website: typed names and drawn signatures are processed inside your browser. They are not transmitted to us or stored on a server. When you download a signature, your browser creates the image locally on your device.

In the App: drawn signatures, typed names, generated styles, scanned images, edits, and your saved-signature library are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

• No cloud sync. The Services do not use iCloud or CloudKit to sync signature data.
• Temporary export files. The App may create a temporary local image file when you export a signature. The operating system manages and removes these files.
• Optional Photos saving. If you choose to save an exported signature to Photos, that image is stored in your own Photos library, which you control.

4. App Permissions

The Website does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photo library. The App may request the following permissions only when needed:

• Camera — to photograph a signature on paper for on-device processing.
• Photo Library (read) — to import a photograph for the Scan feature.
• Photo Library (save) — when you choose to save an exported signature to Photos.

The App does not request access to Contacts, Location, Microphone, or Bluetooth.

5. Third-Party Services

The Website does not send signature content to third-party services. It links to Apple’s App Store so you can view or download the App.

The App relies on these services for purchases:

• RevenueCat. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app user ID and standard device attributes such as operating system version, locale, and app version to validate purchases and entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your signature content, name, or email. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
• Apple. Purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to those transactions. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. Payments

The Website’s core signature generator is free. The App is free to download and offers optional in-app purchases. Payment information is handled by Apple; we do not collect or store payment-card details.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. The limited anonymous purchase and entitlement information described above is used solely to validate App purchases. If you choose to share or upload a downloaded signature elsewhere, that action is controlled by you and governed by the destination service’s terms and privacy practices.

8. Data Security

Because signature content is processed and stored locally, it is protected by your device, browser, and operating-system security. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we use measures appropriate to the limited data involved.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed at children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your Choices and Data Rights

• The Website does not retain signature data for you to request or delete.
• You can delete individual signatures or all saved data from the App.
• You can manage Camera and Photos permissions in iOS Settings.
• Uninstalling the App removes its locally stored data, subject to normal operating-system behavior.

11. Links to Other Services

The Services may link to third-party websites such as the App Store or payment-provider policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when the updated policy is posted here.
